The Biker, a contact for Lost Girls

A contact for Weird Writer's Lost Girls.

Perfumed with gasoline, leather, tobacco, and sweat, the Biker haunts the highways at the edges of Saint Tenebrae. Speed defines him: movement, action, and amphetamines. The Biker charges recklessly toward what he wants to confront, waving a tire iron like a saber. When he wants to run he is already long gone. Nightfall carries him on a four-stroke engines to the fringes, where he congregates in packs with his boys to share a fantasy of wildness and freedom. In this way, he is a werewolf.

The Biker is not Lost, though he believes himself to be, and is thus eligible as the gang's second contact. His free-wheeling life is already subterranean to the daylit world of ordinary people, which makes him delusional skeptical that the supernatural one inhabited by the Lost Girls could exist. He cultivates an air of brooding and sensitive machismo while struggling to manage his fiery temper. At his best, he is loyal and brave; at his worst, he is entitled and vengeful.

Despite his moniker, he is a gearhead for all vehicles, and can temporarily increase a girl's Driving with a quick tune-up or practice race.

The Biker lives with his father, a drunk. He keeps the rent paid selling drugs and collecting money for bigger fish in the pond. He can steal his father's pistol to give the girls access to a gun for a mission without incurring heat, reasoning it's better to keep it away from the old man anyway. I really fucking need it back though.

Should a mission require an getaway driver, an illicit courier, or a good old-fashioned rumble, he can be brought along to make use of his good Driving and average Street Smarts and Violence skills. If asked directly or if he doesn't fancy the gang's chances, he'll bring his father's gun to use himself without incurring an extra favor. He's never fired it in a stressful situation.

Requests to borrow a bike are always laughed off. Get real, babe. Stealing it is unforgivable.

His obsession skill is Driving or Charisma. When obsessed, he employs dramatic romantic gestures and adrenaline-raising motorcycle rides to escalate the relationship to codependence. Though he never wears a helmet himself, he always has a spare. He will take the girl on long trips beyond the city to monologue about his difficult life and his desire to escape Saint Tenebrae for good. Sex with him is competent, if vanilla, and happens in seedy motels.

When the Biker feels the object of his obsession has taken advantge of him, he will grow ever more seething and resentful toward her, leading to long silent rides and sullen you owe mes punctuating every favor. Eventually, the Biker will renege on a favor at the worst possible time to teach the girl a lesson. After a breakup, he will rally his fellow riders to deny the gang access to the highways. Though they won't hurt the girls directly, the gang's vehicles won't be spared: tires will be slashed and windows broken. Masked bikers will try to run them off the road.
